Hot Hoppin' Johns
Serves 6
- ½ lb Diced Bacon
- 1 Cup Black Eyed Peas
- 2 Cup Instant Rice
- 2 Tbs San Augustine Datil Pepper Table Sauce
- ½ Cup Shredded Coconut
- 2 Cup Water
Bring water to a slow boil and add bacon. Let cook for 5 minutes
Stir in black eyed peas, coconut, rice and San Augustin Datil Pepper Table Sauce. Reduce to a simmer and cover.
Let cook for 5-10 minutes or until rice is cooked through
